Mahindra hikes prices of Scorpio-N SUV again

Scorpio-N lovers out there looking to get the SUV. There is some news for you. As it stands, Mahindra has hiked the prices of the SUV. This is the second time this year that Mahindra has hiked the prices of its latest SUV. We are aware that the first price increase of the model happened in January 2023. At that time the prices went up by up to INR 1.35 lakh.

What Are The Prices Like After The Price Hike?

After the updated prices, the Mahindra Scorpio-N now retails at INR 13.06 lakh. This is for the base-spec Z2 Petrol MT 7S. And the prices go all the way up to INR 24.51 lakh. This is for the top-spec Z8L Diesel AT 4WD 7S. All prices mentioned are in the ex-showroom.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Is In Much Demand

As it stands, the Scorpio range registered a total sales of 69,324 units in 2022-23. Out of this 68,147 units were sold for the domestic market alone. Ever since the SUV hit the Indian market. Scorpio-N has been in much demand. In fact, in February this year, the Scorpio-N had a waiting period of up to 65 weeks.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Variants On Sale

The Scorpio-N currently retails in five trims. These are, namely, Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. Customers can have the SUV in both, 7-seater and 6-seater configurations.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Engine And Gearbox Options

As for the engine options, the Scorpio-N is available with two powertrain options. First is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The motor makes 198 BHP and 380 Nm. The second engine is a 2.2-litre diesel. This motor makes 173 BHP and 400 Nm. As for the transmission options, customers have the option to choose from a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. To add to the off-road capabilities, select variants comes equipped with a four-wheel drive system.
