LuxeCamper offers India’s first luxury motorhome vacations

A Bangalore-based start-up called Campervan Camps and Holidays India Pvt Ltd has introduced ‘LuxeCamper’ that claims to be India’s first commercially approved premium Motorhome that offers vacations on wheels to preset or customisable destinations to exotic destinations in India. 

The LuxeCamper motorhomes are made using German design concepts and have received type approvals from Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) as per Automotive Industry Standards (AIS 124). The motorhome can accommodate up to 4 people in the guest cabin with a separate driver’s cabin. 

The highlights of the motorhome include a lounge at the rear-end that into a comfortable queen-size bed, a motorised suspended queen-size bed at the front, a wardrobe, climate control air-conditioning with both cooling and heating,  fully functional kitchenette featuring both induction stove & gas hobs, a microwave oven, an electric toaster, an electric kettle and a fridge with freezer. 

The in-built kitchenette allows the option of food being served by the LuxeCamper’s team instead of going to restaurants. Luxe Camper also allows its guests to bring in their own stock of food for a few days and store them in the refrigerator and use the stove (Electric-Induction/LPG) or Microwave to cook or reheat the same. The LuxeCamper comes with all the required crockery and cutlery if the guests choose to cook food-on-the-go. 

The LuxeCamper is fitted with energy-efficient and environment-friendly rooftop solar panels that charge the inverter batteries which in turn power electrical equipment such as the heater ad cooler. The LuxeCamper features a modern incinerator type toilet that burns human waste instead of a cassette type or in-built septic tank type toilet that requires regular dumping. 

Other comforts and convenience features include five bi-directional fans, a skylight, hot/cold shower, 2 smart televisions with a Bluetooth music system, 4G Wi-Fi, 230V a/c power sockets, USB charging points, 360-degree cameras, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, speed governor and a GPS tracker.  To provide its guest with an adventurous outdoors camping experience the motorhome also provides facilities such as an external shower, a sleek awning with wind sensors, an outdoor barbecue connection, and a bicycle rack. 

LuxeCamper has partnered with various homestays, small lodges, select campsites that offer scenic spots, beaches, heritage monuments, hill station and safari spots that have been pre-screened for safety and cleanliness for the motorhomes to be parked overnight. 

As of now, the company has partnered with camping sites at locations such as Aanejari, Bandipur, Bheemeshwari, Hampi, Kabini, Kodagu, Kudremukha, Sadashivgad, Sakleshpur, Sakrebyle, Sitanandi, etc with more location to be added soon. LuxeCamper is currently providing services in Karnataka and will very soon expand to rest of India as part of their expansion plan. 

In view of safety, the LuxeCamper motorhomes are parked with its doors open, when not in use, at the brand’s base camp in Bangalore, to prevent mildew and the upholstery is thoroughly sanitised using with 100 degree Centigrade steam to kill any unwanted organism and the interiors are swabbed using 75% alcohol. The crockery and cutlery are also washed and sanitised with hot water before the journey. The motorhome also comes a separate driver’s cabin with an independent air-circulation unit for the driver, further enhancing the safety quotient. The driver’s and team members also undergo regular health checks prior to commencement of the journey.

According to the brand’s official website, a typical two-day luxury motorhome experience will cost around INR 49,999 plus taxes.
