Teaser images have also revealed the same, and the bike becomes the most advanced mass-market street naked motorcycle from Yamaha in India in the 150cc class. The Yamaha MT-15 is a naked version, street-focused model based on the YZF-R15 V3.0.

Talking about the India-specific MT-15 model, it misses out on the USD front forks and also skips the aluminium swing arm as the R15 V3.0, and also the dual-channel ABS is replaced with a single-channel setup.
The all-new Yamaha MT-15 in India comes with a 155cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine producing 19.3 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features VVA technology for superior ride performance throughout the revv range. The MT-15 comes with a single-channel ABS setup, unlike the R15. So only the front-brake gets ABS. The ECU on the MT-15 is new, model-specific. The bike gets a 140mm rear tyre with a 245mm front disc brake. The MT-15 has a box-type rear swing arm. Final gear ratio has also been tweaked on the MT-15, compared to the YZF-R15 V3.0.
Yes, the MT-15 comes with a slipper assist clutch. The bike has a ground clearance of 155mm. Yamaha will launch the MT-15 in India in 2 colours – Metallic Black and Dark Matt Blue.
