Tata Motors has revealed the 7-seater version of the Harrier SUV at the ongoing 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Previously known by the codename H7X, the 7-seater Harrier has been called the ‘Buzzard’. This is a proper full-size SUV with 3-row seating and will be launched in India by early 2020. The Buzzard shares maximum components with the Harrier, but is longer in dimensions.
Seen in images below, you can notice that the front profile of the car is nearly identical to the Harrier model currently on sale. You get LED DRLs mounted around the bonnet shut line, projector headlamp and fog lamp placed unconventionally, XL sized grille with chrome elements and a skid plate at the front.
The visual changes begin once you look at the car from the side profile. The Buzzard is much longer than the Harrier, for obvious reasons as it is a full-size 7-seater SUV. Also, the tail section of the Buzzard is taller and flatter compared to the coupe-like styling of the Harrier. On the side, you can notice dual tone alloy wheels, different body cladding, reprofiled 2nd row door, BIG rear quarter glass, roof rails, grey applique, wrap around LED tail lamp, smoked black number plate garnish, roof mounted spoiler, rear wash & wipe, dual tone bumpers, and the Buzzard badge on the tail gate slapped in the centre.
Tata Motors also had the Buzzard Sport edition on display, which was a Geneva Motor Show special. Built around the same OMEGA architecture as seen on the Harrier, which has been jointly developed with Jaguar Land Rover, the Buzzard promises some serious capabilities.
