Limited edition TVS Apache RTR 165 RP sold out

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company recently announced that it has sold all 200 units of its Apache RTR 165 RP. The company launched the bike on 23rd December 2021 to represent its high-performance racing lineage and expand its portfolio. With only 200 units being built by TVS Racing, the RP on the Apache RTR 165 represents “Racing Performance”. TVS Motor Company stated that it would introduce new race machines in the future but did not reveal further details.

2021 TVS Apache RTR 165 RP: Detailed Highlights

TVS Motors priced the Apache RTR 165 RP at INR 1,45,000 (ex-showroom) and offered a unique colour scheme. To enhance its exclusivity, the bike features a White, Blue, and Red colour scheme throughout the fuel tank and mudguards. With the colours extending towards the rear tail section, the bike also sports TVS Racing decals and stickers.

Additionally, TVS offered a brand new seat pattern, red-coloured alloy wheels, a blue pinstripe design, and a 15th-anniversary edition decal. TVS has also ensured to include a ‘Racing Since 1982’ sticker on the ride side of the front cowl panel. Other exclusive highlights of the Apache RTR 165 RP include the beefy exhaust and sporty handlebars.

2021 TVS Apache RTR 165 RP: Technical Specs & Features Highlights

The Apache RTR 165 RP sports a 164.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve engine that produces 19.2 PS and 14.2 Nm. TVS Motor Company equipped the bike with a Race Performance Double Cradle Chassis which offers 25% increased stability. For improved handling, the bike also sports a Race Performance SHOWA monoshock suspension with precision-tuned compression and rebound damping. The bike sports 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends and also includes SHOWA telescopic front forks along with single-channel ABS.

To improve and increase the engine’s efficiency, TVS revised the bore stroke ratio and equipped a new dome piston. TVS mated the engine to a 5-speed manual gearbox and offered a new LED headlight that featured the signature FPL. The new Front Position Lamp (FPL) allows riders to use it in conjunction with the low/high beam headlight. TVS has equipped the Apache RTR 165 RP with a segment-first, 240mm rear disc brake and a Digital Racing Console.
