Lexus has unveiled the refreshed 2025 Lexus ES luxury sedan at the Guangzhou Auto Show, with plans to bring it to the Indian market. The updated model features several enhancements aimed at elevating the luxury and performance of this popular sedan.
The refreshed ES sedan boasts a new spindle grille inspired by the RX model, along with sharper matrix LED headlights and boomerang-shaped DRLs. The rear features a modern connected taillight design with L-shaped LEDs, adding to its sophisticated appearance. The sedan also gets redesigned alloy wheels.
Inside, the sedan gets a larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, consolidating climate and infotainment controls to reduce clutter on the center console. The dashboard and door panels get the new “Silver Lance Moon Ridge” treatment.
Under the hood, the ES retains its 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, generating 218 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. It is mated to a CVT gearbox with he power sent to the front wheels. The powertrain continues to offer a smooth and efficient driving experience, making it a strong competitor in the luxury sedan segment against rivals like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Volvo S90.
The refreshed ES is expected to be available in India by mid-2025. The current model is priced between INR 64 lakh and INR 69.70 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new updates. we could see a rise of INR 2 lakh to 5 lakh in its price. Lexus India aims to capitalize on the growing demand for luxury sedans in the country, with the ES sedan accounting for a significant portion of the brand’s sales.
The updated ES sedan offers enhanced comfort with electrically adjustable seats, ventilated front seats, and ambient lighting. The cabin is designed to provide a serene and luxurious environment, reflecting Lexus’ commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
