Danish toy production company Lego Group and Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati Motor Holding have signed a licencing agreement to produce a one of its kind brick reproduction of a Ducati motorcycle in the latest Lego Technic Line – Ducati Panigale V4 R. According to the brand, the Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R has been launched to create an exciting experience of the world of mechanical engineering, technology, entertainment and expresses the style, sophistication and performance of Ducati motorcycles.
The Ducati Panigale V4 R is recreated in Lego Technic bricks that consist of 646 pieces in red livery measures 32 cm in length, 16 cm in height and 8 cm in width and is the first model in the toymaker’s history to include a gearbox to simulate different engine speeds. The Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R features a V4 engine that spins, an innovative 2-speed gearbox and front and rear suspension that give the model a realistic movement. In addition to the mechanical hardware, the Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R also includes other realistic parts such as front and rear disc brakes, exhaust pipes, windscreen, dashboard and a kickstand, detailed to make the motorcycle as close to the real version.
The real Ducati Panigale V4 R is powered by a MotoGP Ducati Desmosedici derived 998cc 4-cylinder, 90-degree in a ‘V’ layout. The Desmosedici Stradale R engine produces 221 hp of power in the standard variant and 234 hp of power with Ducati Performance full-racing exhaust by Akrapovič.
The Ducati Panigale V4 R features an impressive aerodynamics package that features GP16-derived carbon fibre aerodynamic appendices along with an aerodynamic nose cone, side fairing, air extractors for engine cooling and protective windscreen. The aero wings increase the motorcycle’s stability in all riding conditions and offer more control to the rider with less electronic intervention.
