Electric mobility brand Lectrix has launched the new LXS 2.0 electric scooter in the Indian market at the price of INR 79,999 ex-showroom. Lectrix EV was launched in 2020 and comes with an initial investment of INR 300 Crore. The brand has a production facility with an annual capacity of 1.5 lakh EVs. Lectrix EV currently has four products in its portfolio – ECity Zip, SX25, LXS and LXS G. Lectrix EV aims to disrupt the electric scooter market not only with advanced products but also offer them at affordable prices. The EV manufacturer also claims to be one of the top 10 OEM’s in the EV segment.
Lectrix EV LXS 2.0 – Range and Battery
The Lectrix EV LXS 2.0 comes with a 2.3 kWh battery pack which offers a range of 98 km on a single charge. With this range and battery, Lectrix claims to have solved three major problems for the consumers. The new LXS 2.0 therefore brings right range, the right quality and the right value for money. In addition to this, the brand reveals that it has sold more than 10,000 units to its consumers.
Lectrix LXS 2.0 – Competition
The biggest competition for the Lectrix LXS 2.0 is the Ola S1 X electric scooter with the 2.0 kWh battery pack. The Ola electric scooter exactly matches the price of the Lectrix LXS 2.0 and comes with 95 km IDC range. Ola also claims a top speed of 85 kmph. In addition to this, the scooter also comes with all-LED lighting and a 4.3-inch segmented LCD instruments display.
Another player in the market is the newly-launched Kinetic Green E-Luna. The E-Luna dwells on its nostalgic charm and undercuts the Lectrix LXS 2.0 by around INR 10,000/-. Kinetic Green claims that the E-Luna comes with 100 km of range and 50 kmph top speed. The Lectrix LXS 2.0 will also compete with the AMO Jaunty, Bounce Infinity E1, Kinetic Green Zing, Hero Electric Atria and the likes.
The pre booking for Lectrix LXS 2.0 is now open with deliveries beginning March 2024 onwards.
