Jaguar Land Rover has updated its official website and the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover Velar which were earlier available with V6 petrol and diesel powertrains have now been removed from the website. Both the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover Velar are now available with 2.0-litre petrol powertrains but in different states of tunes.
The Land Rover Discovery was launched with 3.0-litre V6 petrol, 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a 2.0-litre diesel engines which have now been discontinued and the Land Rover Discovery is now available with only a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 300 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque matched to an automatic transmission.
The Range Rover Velar is also available in only the P250 trim variant with a 2.0-litre petrol motor that produces 250 PS of power and 365 Nm of torque paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Earlier the Range Rover Velar was available with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, a 2.0-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
The Land Rover Discovery measures 4,988mm in length, 2,220mm in width, 1,846mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,922mm featuring sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, metallic finish grille, ‘Discovery’ badging on the bonnet lip, vertical air intakes flanking the front bumper, bumper integrated fog lamps, a silver finished skid plate on the front and rear bumpers and wrap-around LED tail lamps. The Land Rover Discovery on its interior features four-zone climate control, cabin air ionisation, electrically adjustable seats, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof and comes in a seven-seat layout.
The brand also launched the locally-made Range Rover Velar last year featuring sleek all-LED headlights, wraparound taillights, an integrated spoiler and measures 4,797mm in length, 2,145mm width and 1,665mm in height. The SUV is also equipped with interior features such as leather seats, two 10-inch high-definition, Touch Pro Duo touchscreen infotainment displays, a 380W Meridian sound system, 12.5-inch interactive colour instrument cluster, optional four-zone climate control, sliding panoramic sunroof, multicolour customisable ambient interior lights etc.
