Lamborghini Urus & Huracán helping the brand with strong sales numbers

Automobili Lamborghini has announced a record number of sales in the first half of the current year. From January-June 2023, the carmaker reported a total sales of 5,341 units. This is 4.9 percent higher than the same period last year.

Strong Urus and Huracan numbers drive sales

This strong performance of the Sant’Agata Bolognese based company is thanks to increased demand of the Huracan and the Urus SUV.

In terms of region-wise sales, Lamborghini dispatched 2,285 units to EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), followed by 1,857 to America and 1,199 to Asia.

Coming to popular countries, USA was the largest market with 1,625 units, with the UK coming in second place with 514 units and Germany a close third with 511 cars sold. China, Hong Kong and Macau reported 450 units while Japan had 280 sales and Italy reported sales of 270 units. All these numbers are from H1 2023.

Revenue-wise, the company’s numbers increased by 6.7 percent to Euro 1.42 billion. Meanwhile the operating income too jumped 7.2 percent to Euro 456 million. Hence, the return on sales improved by 32.1 percent.

Lamborghini Urus and Huracan sold out

Lamborghini is no longer accepting bookings for the Urus and Huracan. The production of these is already sold out and these models are set for discontinuation by 2nd half of 2024. While Urus will be back as a plug-in hybrid, Huracan will be replaced by a successor. The latter has already been spotted testing.

Meanwhile, the Revulto has also been showcasing strong demand. The order books for this model are sold out till the end of 2025.

Lamborghini’s SC63 LmDh prototype

In 2024, Lamborghini is entering the endurance racing category with the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. This is the first time that the Italian carmaker will participate in these events. To this end, the carmaker has revealed the SC63 LMDh hybrid prototype which will be the main car for the aforementioned races.
