Lamborghini unveils ‘Aventador SVJ Xago’

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Lamborghini has created a new virtual Ad Personam studio that offers consultation sessions to its clients from around the world who want to personalise their Lamborghini without having to travel to the special ‘Ad Personam’ department located in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. In celebration of the new Virtual Ad Personam facility, the brand has announced the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago, a special edition roadster, of which the brand will produce only 10 units and will be reserved for clients specifying their Aventador SVJ using the brand’s new Virtual Ad Personam service.

Lamborghini has also announced that from July 2020 clients can pre-book an initial consultation of around two hours via their dealership for a dedicated session with Lamborghini specialists surrounded by the extensive Ad Personam options on display. A video call from the Ad Personam studio with the relevant Lamborghini model will be present in the design studio with live proposals and configuration suggestions from the Ad Personam team using a smartphone for live sessions and close-up details will take place. The virtual consultation is followed by full proposals that include renderings and material samples that are sent to the client.

Ad Personam Studio

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago special edition comes with a special Lamborghini Design featuring a ‘Hexagonita’ theme which draws its design inspiration from the hexagon cloud shapes at the North Pole, on the planet Saturn and the strength of the hexagon in nature. The hexagonal design is emphasised on the exteriors in the form of a unique fading hexagonal silver effect on the exterior paint with Ad Personam contrast colour livery for each car and gloss black Nireo Ad Personam rims. The Aventador SVJ Xago also features blue ORVM housing, blue accents on the front and rear aprons, blue-accented side skirts along with a blue accented rear wing.

Hexagonita Theme

On the inside, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago special edition features an exclusive seat pattern in the same ‘Hexagonita’ theme in a special contrast colour that matches the exterior. The Aventador SVJ Xago special edition models are also identified by a special number plate.

Powering the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago special edition is a Euro5-LEV3 compliant 6.5-litre 60-degree naturally-aspirated V-12-cylinder MPI petrol engine that produces 770 HP of power and 780 Nm of torque generating a 1.98 kg/CV weight to power ratio matched to a 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox that claims to be considerably faster and lighter than a comparable Dual Clutch unit along with a ‘Haldex generation IV’ 4-wheel Drivetrain that can propel the car from 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds and achieve speeds greater than 350 kmph.

The Lamborghini Ad Personam program was launched back in 2013 and the brand opened its Ad Personam studio in 2016. The brand also claims that 50% of Lamborghini cars coming off the production line features at least one Ad Personam detail.
