Lamborghini India has brought in the Urus S. The prices start from INR 4.18 crore (ex-showroom, India). This is the second model in its Urus line-up apart from the Indian market after the Urus Performante. This model retails with a price tag of INR INR 4.22 crore (ex-showroom, India). Noteworthy to mention, the Urus S costs INR 4 lakh less than the Urus Performante.
The Urus S is more of a luxury- and customisation-oriented version of the two models. The Urus S arrived in the global markets in September last year, replacing the outgoing Urus.
Lamborghini Urus S performance
Powering the Urus S is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8. This is the same which we see in the Urus Performante. The performance figures of this motor read as 666 HP and 850 Nm of torque. Given the powerful engine, the Urus Performante can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. We would like to mention that the Urus S manages to do it in 3.5 seconds. Urus uses an AWD setup thus, power is fed to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The suspension hardware is the key difference between the Urus S and Urus Performante. The latter gets a sportier, lowered, fixed coil spring that aids in better handling. Meanwhile, the Urus S retains the air suspension from before. But this allows the Urus S to alter its ride height and also provides a better ride quality. This will also allow the Urus S to get three off-road modes. These are namely, Sabbia, Neve and Terra (Sand, Snow and Mud). In addition, we also get Strada, Sport and Corsa (Street, Sport and Track) modes.
Lamborghini Urus S Exterior And Interior
As for the exteriors, the Urus S gets the same subtle cosmetic upgrades as the Urus Performante. Thus it gets a new bumper, a new bonnet with cooling vents along with a slightly reprofiled bumper. Customers can get a partially exposed carbon-fibre bonnet and a carbon-fibre roof as an option on the Urus Performante.
Come inside, and we see Urus S using the same interior design as the Urus Performante. But the material used is different. Urus Performante gets a Black Alcantara interior as standard. On the contrary, the interiors in the Urus S get leather as standard. But can customise it to get an Alcantara interior as well. Lamborghini will also allow a slew of customisation options on the Urus S by offering a range of materials.
Lamborghini Urus S Rivals
Like the Urus Performante, the Urus S will take on the likes of the BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, Aston Martin DBX 707, and Maserati Levante Trofeo.
