Lamborghini, the renowned Italian supercar manufacturer, achieved a significant milestone. For the Indian market, it delivered its 150th Huracán model. This achievement comes after Lamborghini’s announcement last year. When they handed over the 200th Urus SUV in India. The brand recorded remarkable sales of 400 units in March 2022. This is since entering the Indian market in 2007. The milestone demonstrates Lamborghini’s growing presence. The success of the Huracán has been available for nine years. All thanks to its exciting lineup, consisting of 12 road versions and three racing variants. Notably, almost all Huracán models have been introduced in India.
The Huracán made its global debut in 2014 with the Coupe version. This was later joined by the Spyder variant. The subsequent releases of the rear-wheel-drive models, the Performante in 2016 and the Performante Spyder in 2018 showcased impressive performance capabilities with numerous lap records.
In 2019, Lamborghini brought in the new Huracán EVO in both coupe and Spyder versions. These came with the next-generation V10 engine. The track-focused Huracán STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) arrived in 2021. Meanwhile, it’s more toned-down version, the Huracán Tecnica, was introduced in 2022. While the Huracán lineup included a range of track-oriented and high-performance models. The Huracán Sterrato stood out as an all-terrain sports car equipped with a V10 engine and all-wheel drive. Thus taking the Huracán nameplate to new heights. Unfortunately, the Huracán is the last model to use a naturally aspirated V10. Because its successor, scheduled to launch in late 2024, will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The Huracán was perfect as a super sports emotion in every environment. From daily driving to thrilling performance on the track. Each iteration of the Huracán speaks of the Lamborghini philosophy. It has also brought forth design evolution, technological advancements, exciting driving experiences, track records, and impressive sales since its launch. The delivery of the 150th Huracán in India signifies its appeal to customers in the super sports car segment.
