Lamborghini Aventador SVJ livery for the final piece of Ducati Superleggera V4

Renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has unveiled the final unit of its Superleggera V4 with a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ livery. Unveiled and put on sale in 2020, Ducati sold the first-ever unit of the Superleggera V4 in June 2020. The brand had announced that it would produce just 500 units of the Superleggera V4, making it quite exclusive.

499 out of the 500 units sported the iconic Ducati red and black colour scheme, except for the final one. Inspired by the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ supercar, Ducati’s Newport Beach dealership in California, USA, created the highly exclusive final unit. Unveiled via Instagram, Ducati and Lamborghini dealerships of Newport Beach showcased the bike for the public over the weekend.

Specifically created for a special customer, the final Superleggera V4 features a dual-tone bodywork with Black and Blue colour shades. Ducati Newport Beach has ensured to finish the aerodynamic winglets, the bottom of the fairing, and the wheels in black. Apart from this unique bodywork design, the 500th Superleggera V4 remains quite similar to the other 499 Superleggera V4’s. This includes the aerodynamic carbon fibre body, race-specific windscreen, full LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and LED taillights.

The 500th Superleggera V4 retains the 998cc, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale R, 90-degree V4-cylinder motor found on the other 499 units. The engine produces 234 PS and 116 Nm thanks to the Akrapovic racing exhaust system and a lightened counter-rotating crankshaft. Ducati has also equipped the bike’s engine with a ride-by-wire electronic fuel injection system, elliptical throttle bodies, and aerodynamic valves.

The brand has also ensured to use a lightweight carbon fibre front frame which means ‘Superleggera’ in Italian. Weighing 16 Kg less than the Panigale V4, the Superleggera V4 weighs 152.2 Kg thanks to a Racing kit. Ducati has paired the engine to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a quickshifter and a hydraulically-operated dry slipper clutch.

For ride comfort, the bike features 43mm, Ohlins NPX25/30 front forks with a fully-adjustable Ohlins TTX36 rear monoshock. For enhanced braking performance, the bike sports dual 330mm front discs with Brembo callipers and a single 245mm rear disc. Overall, Ducati has equipped the bike with an MCS radial pump and cornering ABS system (ABS EVO).
