The KTM RC 125 which has already become a popular entry-level motorcycle in the international market is now all set to enter the Indian market. The KTM 125 Duke has been a success since it was launched in India. The RC 125 full faired motorcycle has the same underpinnings as the naked streetfighter 125 Duke. The RC 125 had been recently spotted being road tested in India and now according to rumours the bike is ready for its Indian debut in June-July 2020.

The KTM RC 125 has been for sale in the international market for a few years now and the Indian-spec motorcycle is expected to be nearly identical to the international-spec and only miss out on some features as compared to it. The RC 125 that was spied testing in India did not have the side-slung exhaust as seen on the international spec. The bike is expected to come in a different graphics theme as compared to the international model as well. The Indian-spec model will also be equipped with a saree guard as per Government mandate. The bike is expected to have a underbelly exhaust unit like the 125 Duke.

The engine on the RC 125 is expected to be the same unit as seen on the 125 Duke and the specification of the 125 Duke available in India are – 124.7cc, single-cylinder, DOHC engine with liquid-cooling and the motor produces 14.5 PS of power @ 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of torque @ 8000 RPM coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension is a 43mm WP upside-down unit on the front and a progressive adjustable monoshock with preload on the rear. The international KTM RC 125 features a 300mm front disc with radial mounted 4 piston calliper and a 230mm disc with a single pot on the rear wheel and comes along with a single-channel ABS.
