KTM RC125 will get Orange and Black paint scheme

The KTM RC125 is expected to launch by the end of this month and according to a media report, the India-spec RC125 is expected to be available in more than one colour option and one of them is expected to be a new Orange and Black colour scheme.

The RC125 has been spotted testing in India on various occasions and the bike has been seen with a underbelly exhaust, but the international spec model gets a side slung exhaust. The RC125 is also likely to get a tyre hugger and a saree guard as per safety mandate. The bike is expected to follow the same design language as seen on the other RC models in India. The front end design has a twin projector headlamps setup with LED turn indicators integrated into the rear view mirrors. The seat gets a step-up design and has integrated LED tail lights under the pillion seat. The motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels and a digital instrument display. At the front, you get dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs.

In the mechanical department, KTM RC125 is expected to borrow the hardware from its naked street fighter sibling, 125 Duke and the motorcycle will get a steel trellis frame which rides on 43mm upside-down front fork from WP and a multi-step adjustable rear monoshock. The RC125 will get a 300mm single hydraulically operated disc brakes with 4-piston calliper on the front and a 230mm rear disc with a 2-piston unit on the rear. The brakes are likely to be equipped with a single-channel ABS. The engine will be a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, DOHC block with liquid-cooling and the motor produces 14.5 PS of power @ 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of torque @ 8000 RPM coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

KTM has already launched the 125 Duke which is the naked street fighter motorcycle priced at INR 1.30 lakh ex-showroom. The 125 Duke when introduced was priced at INR 1.18 lakh and has seen two price hikes and the latest one has increased the price by INR 5000. The RC125 when launched will rival the Yamaha R15 V3.0.
