KTM adds TFT screen on 200 Duke in India

KTM has announced a significant update for its popular 200 Duke motorcycle in India. The 2025 model will now feature a 5-inch TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) display, a major upgrade from the previous LCD dashboard. This enhancement is expected to elevate the riding experience by providing more advanced features and improved usability.

Key Features of the New TFT Display

The new TFT display, borrowed from the KTM 390 Duke, brings a host of modern features to the 200 Duke. Riders can now enjoy:

• Bluetooth Connectivity: The TFT screen supports Bluetooth, allowing riders to connect their smartphones. This enables features such as receiving messages, alerts, and media notifications directly on the display.
• Turn-by-Turn Navigation: With integrated navigation, riders can easily follow directions without needing to glance at their phones.
• Enhanced Readability: The TFT screen offers better visibility under various lighting conditions, ensuring that information is always clear and easy to read.

Additional Updates

Alongside the new display, the 200 Duke will also receive updated switchgear from the 390 Duke. This includes more intuitive controls, enhancing the overall user experience. However, one notable change is the removal of the belly pan, which exposes the header pipe and integrated catalyst. While this might slightly alter the bike’s aesthetics, it is a minor trade-off for the significant technological upgrade.

Pricing and Availability

The introduction of the TFT display and updated switchgear will result in a slight price increase. The 200 Duke, previously priced at INR 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), is expected to see a hike of approximately INR 4,000 to INR 5,000. Despite this increase, the bike remains competitively priced in its segment, offering advanced features typically found in higher-end models.

The KTM 200 Duke has been a popular choice among young riders and enthusiasts since its debut in India in 2012.
