KTM 890 Duke Tech 3 MotoGP edition launched

KTM has launched a new Tech 3 MotoGP edition 890 Duke in France. The motorcycle is based on the standard 890 Duke but comes with an exclusive paint scheme and high-performance KTM Powerparts. The KTM 890 Duke Tech 3 MotoGP edition will be sold in a limited production run of just 100 units. This will make the motorcycle ultra-exclusive in Europe but the price is just EUR 1,300 more than the standard. In the French market, the KTM Duke 890 Tech 3 MotoGP edition will come with a price tag of EUR 11,690.

KTM 890 Duke Tech 3 MotoGP Edition

The KTM 890 Duke Tech 3 MotoGP Edition features an exclusive MotoGP style paint theme. This includes Orange and Black paint with KTM graphic on the side similar to the Tech 3 MotoGP motorcycle. The motorcycle also features black-finish alloy wheels and a sleek belly pan under the engine. The motorcycle also features a racing seat cowl with the Tech 3 Racing team sticker and an Akrapovic exhaust system.

Powertrain

The KTM 890 Duke Tech 3 MotoGP edition features an 889cc in-line two-cylinder engine. The four-stroke liquid-cooled motor pumps out 115 Hp of power and 92 Nm of torque. This new engine comes with a 20% larger rotating mass on the crankshaft. This ensures smoother engine action at low RPMs. The KTM 890 Duke features a CroMo steel frame 43mm open cartridge upside-down WP APEX Suspension and a gas-assisted rear shock.

Electronics Package

The KTM 890 Duke features LED lighting, customizable TFT instruments cluster, riding modes – Street, Sport, Rain as well as a Track mode. The 890 Duke also comes with a 6D lean angle sensor which enables Cornering ABS, anti-wheelie, launch control, nine-step traction control, and Quickshifter+.

KTM also revealed the 1290 Super Duke RR a limited edition model with track biased features based on the KTM 1290 Duke R. The 1290 Duke RR came with a price tag of GBP 21,499. KTM later announced that the 1290 Super Duke RR was sold out in 48 minutes of its launch.
