KTM 250 Duke to get all-LED headlights like 390 Duke, prices will be hiked

Half a year ago, KTM launched the BS6 compliant KTM 250 Duke at the price of INR 2,00,576 ex-showroom, Delhi. The prices on the KTM 250 Duke have been revised a couple of months ago and the KTM Duke 250 is now INR 4,736 more expensive than before and is now priced at INR 2,05,312 ex-showroom.

Now new reports have suggested that the KTM 250 Duke will be updated with a new LED headlamp unit similar to its elder sibling the KTM 390 Duke and with the update comes a new price, speculated to be hiked by INR 4,000-5,000 taking the price to around INR 2.10 lakh ex-showroom owing to the added cost of the LED headlight.

The full LED headlight is available on the KTM 390 Duke and the KTM 390 Adventure but the KTM 250 Duke features the same LCD instrumentation. The KTM 250 Duke is powered by a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine that churns out 30 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch.

The KTM 250 Duke also comes with a Split Steel Trellis Frame with 43mm diameter WP-Open Cartridge front fork and pre-load adjustable WP monoshock on the rear and gets a 320mm single disc with a 4-piston fixed calliper on the front and a 230mm single disc with a single-piston floating calliper on the rear wheel armed with a Bosch Dual-Channel ABS unit with SuperMoto mode as standard.

The 2020 KTM 250 Duke now comes with 2 new colours and graphics styling – Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic. The 2020 model also features dual-channel ABS with SuperMoto mode as standard.

The KTM 250 Duke also shares its powertrain with the Husqvarna Vitpilen & Svartpilen 250 launched in the Indian market at INR 1,80,032 ex-showroom hiked to a new price of INR 1,84,768 ex-showroom which is still INR 20,500 less than the 250 Duke.
