Electric two-wheeler startup Komaki has introduced the updated variant of its electric motorcycle, the Komaki Range XE. The electric motorcycle has been priced at INR 1,68, 999/- ex-showroom. The Ranger XE gets some new kit to justify the price tag. Lets take a look at what this new EV has to offer.
The Ranger XE has added a 60-litre storage box to add to the utility of the motorcycle. Complementing this utility upgrade, the vehicle features a 7-inch TFT screen for heightened rider interaction and a single sound pipe that maintains a sleek design while providing an immersive experience. The bike is equipped with a 4kW BLDC motor and the battery capacity is unspecified. However, the motorcycle boasts a 140-160 km real-world range. Also, the battery takes about 6 hours to be fully charged. The top speed is rated at 80 kmph.
The standard features of the Ranger XE include self-diagnosis, double disc brakes, reverse assist, adjustable rear suspensions, advanced braking systems, cruise control, anti-theft lock, Bluetooth connectivity, floorboards, a backrest for rider comfort, and a side stand sensor.
Gunjan Malhotra, Director of Komaki Electric Division, expressed her views about the launch, stating, “Through the introduction of the modified Ranger XE with enhanced storage, we’re not only providing practical solutions for Indian commuters but also reaffirming our pledge to environmental responsibility. Komaki is dedicated to pioneering sustainable transportation options that benefit our customers and contribute positively to the planet we all share. Our priority is safeguarding the environment and reducing carbon footprints through our EV ranges.”
There is no direct rival to the Komaki Ranger cruiser, but it faces competition from the likes of Revolt RV400, Ather 450 series, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, etc. Point to note, other brands have better recognition and acceptance in the market.
