Revolt Motors, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer has some exciting news to share. The EV maker recently put out a tweet announcing its collaboration with the Kochi Police Department. Under this collaboration, Revolt will induct its RV400 two-wheeler into the Kochi Police Department’s fleet. RV400 has been a top seller from Revolt Motors. The manufacturer recently reopened its booking for its RV400 motorcycle. This was for a few months with a price tag of INR 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The RV400 comes with a 3 kWh battery linked to a 3 kW motor that makes 54 Nm of torque and produces a top speed of 85 kmph. The RV400 comes with a claimed range of 150 km. In terms of charging, RV400 can go from 0 to 100 per cent in a claimed charging time of 4.5 hours.
Talking of the features, the RV400 comes equipped with LED headlamps, keyless ignition, a fully digital console, and a replaceable battery pack. Other key features of the EV include a speaker system near the footpeg. This can produce faux motorcycle noises. The rider also gets the flexibility to choose between sound options of Revolt, Rebel, Rage, and Roar.
Revolt is aggressively expanding its reach to new regions. Recently the EV maker opened close to 15 new dealerships. These 15 new dealerships are spread across Raipur, Bahadurgarh, Vapi, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Bhubaneswar, Agra, Kota, Jhansi, Meerut, Surat, Dehradun, Ghaziabad and Faridabad.
Given the rising demand for EVs in the market, Revolt has posted positive results. There are a slew of electric scooters coming in. But, the EV market in motorcycles is not that strong. Taking advantage of the first mover strategy, Revolt has been selling in good numbers. Currently, it is the most-sold electric motorcycle in the Indian market. Now, with a well-connected dealership network, Revolt will aim to attract more customers to its showrooms.
