Maserati has commenced accepting bookings for the new Maserati Levante Hybrid in the Indian market. The Italian brand also announced that the prices for the Levante Hybrid would be announced soon. The Levante GT Hybrid is the brand’s first electrified SUV and takes a huge leap in the brand’s electrification strategy. Maserati revealed the electrification strategy last year with the Ghibli Hybrid under the “Faster. Greener. Unique” concept.
Maserati claims that the Levante Hybrid is faster than a diesel vehicle, more sustainable than diesel- or petrol-powered options and exceptional in its specific attributes. The Maserati Levante Hybrid also speed and agility while saving fuel and offering the luxury and driving pleasure that hallmark to the Maserati brand. The Levante Hybrid also stays true to the Trident brand’s roots.
The Maserati Levante features a new metallic tri-coat colour called Azzurro Astro. The launch version of the vehicle is also part of the Brand’s customisation programme – Maserati Fuoriserie. The Hybrid car also comes with certain blue accents reverberating with the electrified status of the car. The blue shades include the three iconic side air ducts, the brake callipers and the C-pillar logo.
The same blue shade also reappears on the embroidered seams of the seats. On the inside, the car also comes with the new Maserati Connect program. This keeps the car connected to improve the customer care experience. Drivers can use their smartphones, smartwatches and also virtual personal assistant – Amazon Alexa & Google Assist from home.
Powering the Maserati Levante Hybrid is the 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder Mild Hybrid engine with an eBooster and 48V BSG. The engine produces 330 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque. The mono scroll turbocharged engine is paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. Maserati offers the GT car with an all-wheel drive with a limited-slip self-locking mechanical rear differential. The allows the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 240 km/h. The L4 engine claims to be as powerful as the 3.0-litre V6 currently sold in India but weighs considerably less.
