Kia Syros EV will arrive in India by 2026

Kia Syros made its world premiere on 19 December 2024, and the Kia Syros EV version will soon hit the Indian market as well. It could come in the January to March 2026 quarter.

We do know that the Syros EV will be a front-wheel-drive all-electric small SUV and that it will use the same K1 platform as the Hyundai Inster EV, which is available in foreign markets. Let’s see the features and battery options it will come with.

Kia Syros EV: Features

The same strengthened K1 platform that supports its ICE counterpart is probably going to serve as the foundation for the Syros EV. It will feature L-shaped LED taillights, LED DRLs, and vertically stacked 3-pod LED headlights.

It will also feature a 4-way powered driver’s seat, two 12.3-inch infotainment screens, a 12.3-inch driver’s display, and a 5-inch screen that is incorporated between the two displays for climate management. Additionally, it will have an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and back seats, and 64-color ambient lighting. The Syros could also have vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities because it is an EV. It enables you to use the car’s battery pack to power your secondary external gadgets.

Safety features

Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)

Kia Syros EV: Battery pack

It is anticipated that the Syros EV will have a driving range of about 400 kilometres. However, Kia has not yet disclosed the battery pack options and electric motor parameters. It should be mentioned that the same platform serves as the basis for the Hyundai Inster EV, which is offered for sale in foreign countries. According to WLTP, the Hyundai EV’s 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery packs can go up to 355 kilometres.
