The Kia Seltos has made a grand debut here in our Indian market, it was also a world premiere which hints at the commitment of Kia for our market. The Kia Seltos is going to enter a highly competitive SUV space which is dominated by the Hyundai Creta and the other rivals include Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks and the likes. While the official launch of the Kia Seltos is still a few weeks away, the specifications of this new SUV are now available so one can compare it better with the competition.
The Kia Seltos will be available in 3 engine and 6 gearbox options which includes a 1.5L naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder petrol motor which produces 115 HP of power and 144 Nm of torque matched to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will produce 115 HP of power and 250 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The GT Line of the Seltos will be powered by a 1.4L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which will produce 140 HP of power and 242 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox option.
The Kia Seltos will measure 4315mm in length, 1800mm in width, 1620mm in height, 2610mm in wheelbase, 190mm of ground clearance, 433L of boot space capacity, turning radius of 10.6m and will run on 205/65/R16 or 205/60/R17 tyres.

The Kia Seltos is expected to be priced at a premium compared to the Hyundai Creta. So expect prices to range between INR 10.5 – 17.5 lakh ex-showroom.
