Kia launches Sonet Aurochs Edition at INR 11.85 lakh

Kia has launched a new special Aurochs Edition of the Sonet compact SUV at prices starting from INR 11.85 lakh ex-showroom. The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition will be sold in all variants of the HTX trim with petrol and diesel motors, with clutch-less IMT & automatic gearbox options. Kia has sold more than 2,41,369 units of the Sonet in India till April 2023, and this new edition is expected to maintain customer interest in this sub-4 metre SUV.

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Features:

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition comes with features which includes front, rear & side skid plates with tangerine accents, Tiger nose front grille with Aurochs branding and tangerine accents, 16″ alloy wheels with crystal cut design and tangerine center wheel caps, Aurochs Edition branding, etc. This version will be sold in black, white, silver & grey paint options. Kia is celebrating 3 successful years of the Sonet with this special edition.

On the inside, this special edition will feature a similar top quality interior with an 8″ touchscreen infotainment with Android & IOS connectivity, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, rear AC vents, etc. Inside, you get semi-leatherette seats in black & beige colour theme and leather wrapped door trims & steering wheel.

Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Engine:

Kia will be selling the Sonet Aurochs edition based on the HTX trims in 4 powertrain options which includes a 1.5L diesel 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic. The petrol variants will be sold with a 1.0L motor with 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT. The 998cc, T-GDI motor produces 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. The 1.5L CRDi VGT motor produces 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This Kia Sonet SUV is a 2WD, FWD sub-4 metre vehicle and rivals the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, etc.

Kia first launched the Sonet in India in September 2020 and in CY2023, the brand sold an average of 9,400 units of this SUV per month.
