Kia has revealed the first few images of the K8 sedan which will be the brand’s first offering as part of Kia’s brand transition. The Kia K8 is a fastback styled sedan that will go on sale later this year and the Korean carmaker unveils the K8 design philosophy that pays homage to the Kia K7 and comes with the design inspiration from the world’s most technically advanced yachts and comes with a futuristic design with progressive and expressive qualities as well as high-quality interiors.
The Kia K8 features a new frameless radiator grille with a seamless design that mingles well with the front apron and comes with a diamond lattice mesh design giving the front apron a clean and expansive look. The headlamps are sleek and come with a diamond lattice design that expresses the movement of light and the LED signal lamps also represent a star. The hallmark Tiger Node grille design also features the brand’s new ‘KIA’ design logo and represents ‘symmetry’, ‘rhythm’ and ‘rising’ elements.
Apart from the grille and bumper the K8 also comes with a sharp splitter design on the front and the fastback sedan from the side features rounded wheel arches with large alloy wheels that completely fill the wheel wells, Kia’s signature lines, body-mounted ORVMs and a coupe-styled roofline that extends far into the rear deck. The Kia K8 features a futuristic design in the rear with a wraparound taillamp, that comes with sharp features. The tail lamp features a jewel pattern and sits well into the rear apron. The rear section also comes with trapezoidal exhaust finishers. The Kia K8 measures 5015mm in length.
Kia’s new logo and the K8 badge comes above the front grille and another below the futuristic rear light clusters. While the K8 is likely to launch later this year the brand will make available more colours as well as new interior features in the near future.
