One of the standout features of the EV9 is its range. The vehicle boasts an ARAI-certified range of 561 kilometers on a single charge, making it a practical choice for long-distance travel. Additionally, the EV9 supports fast charging capabilities, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a DC fast charger.
The EV9 is a large vehicle, measuring 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. It will be available with a choice of five exterior colors: Snow White Pearl, Ocean Blue, Pebble Gray, Panthera Metal, and Aurora Black Pearl. The SUV will ride on 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Kia EV9 offers a luxurious and tech-savvy environment. The SUV will be available in a six-seat configuration with second-row captain chairs, providing ample comfort and space. The interior will feature two dual-tone themes: White & Black and Brown & Black.
The EV9 is equipped with a host of advanced features, including a dual-display setup with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a similarly sized instrument cluster. Other notable features include dual electric sunroofs, a head-up display, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, and a digital key. Safety is also a priority, with the EV9 offering 10 airbags, ABS, ESC, and a suite of ADAS Level 2 features such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The Kia EV9 will be positioned as the brand’s flagship model in India and is expected to be priced at over INR 1 crore (ex-showroom). As a direct import, the EV9 will cater to the premium segment of the market, competing with other high-end electric SUVs.
