Kia has once again recalled its premium electric car EV6 in India. This time, the recall has been done to update the ICCU software that affects the performance of its 12V auxiliary battery. Read more details below.

The latest recall of the EV6 is for the cars produced from 3 March 2022 to 14 April 2023. The recall is being done to update the software of the ICCU (integrated charging control unit). This unit is responsible for the charging and performance of the 12V auxiliary battery of the vehicle.
The ICCU update is just a software update and Kia has already started to reach out to customers with the respective affected units. The update time is short and it will improve the performance of the vehicle along with its efficiency.
Moving on, Kia has already announced the details of the recall as well as informed the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. All the affected cars belong to the pre-facelift batch sold.
Speaking of the EV6, it has been a successful electric model for Kia in India since its launch. The sleek and futuristic-looking EV is now set to receive a facelift soon.
Kia has already started accepting the bookings for the upcoming EV6 facelift. In fact, the updated model was showcased recently at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January.
