Kia has filed trademarks for the EV6 electric vehicle in the Indian market. The brand has not just filed trademarks for the EV6 brand but what appears to be its variants. Because the trademarks have been filed at the Indian Intellectual Property office we believe that Kia could be planning to launch the pure electric vehicle soon. In total, the brand has filed five trademarks. These include – EV6, EV6 Air, EV6 Water, EV6 Light and EV6 Earth. Air, Water, Light and Earth appear to be the variants of the EV6 electric vehicle.

The Kia EV6 was revealed last year in a digital world premiere. The car is built on the company’s new ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. The brand revealed that the EV6’s design philosophy is based on five pillars – ‘Bold for Nature’, ‘Joy for Reason’, ‘Power to Progress’, ‘Technology for Life’, and ‘Tension for Serenity’. The company also boasts that the design is inspired by the positive forces in nature and the contrasting elements. The Kia EV6 also comes with a ‘Digital Tiger Face’ laced with a ‘sequential’ dynamic light pattern.
Kia EV6 – Features
The EV6 features a high-tech 12-inch dual screen panoramic display curved high-definition AVN infotainment + navigation system. The car also comes with haptic buttons for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The brand also offers the EV6 with contoured seats with fabrics created using recycled plastics. The car also comes with an augmented reality (AR) head-up display system, Advanced Driver Assistance System and ‘Kia Connect’.
Kia EV6 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Kia EV6 is a 168 kW (229ps) electric motor that powers the rear wheels. The AWD model comes with a 239 kW (325 ps) electric motor. The brand offers a standard 58.0 kWh high-voltage battery pack as well as a long-range pack of 77.4 kWh. The EV6 is based on the E-GMP platform featuring an 800-Volt and 400-Volt electric architecture.
