Kia Carnival MPV will come with 200 PS diesel engine with 7, 8 & 9-Seater variants

Kia Motors India has revealed all details of the upcoming Carnival MPV which will be the brands 2nd car launch here in our market. The Kia Carnival will be pitched against the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta, but will be a more premium offering. The Kia Carnival is a typical MPV in the design department and will be officially launched at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi, India.

The Kia Carnival will come with only a single engine option. This full size MPV will come with 2,199cc, 4-cylinder, common rail DI engine with VGT producing 200 PS of power @ 3800 RPM and 440 Nm of torque @ 1500 – 2750 RPM matched to an 8-speed sports automatic gearbox. This engine will obviously be BS6 compliant from the date of launch, and the brand is confident that this motor will have more than sufficient power on tap to suit the cars purpose.

The Kia Carnival MPV will be launched in 3 seating layout options. It will come with a 7-seater, 8-seater and 9-seater variant with Premium, Prestige & Limousine trims. There will be 2 models with 7-seater layout one of which will be 4 captain seats + 3 sinking seats and another 7 seat VIP version with VIP luxury seats in the 2nd row. The 8-seater model of the Carnivaal will have 4 captain seats + 3 sinking seats. The 9-seater Carnival model will have 6 captain seats + 3 sinking seats. Features inside the cabin will include dual electric sunroof, 10.1″ dual touchscreen rear seat infotainment in the VIP seat version, one-touch sliding doors, powered tailgate, touchscreen music system with UVO connected technology, 8-speaker Harman Kardon music system, air purifier, 3-zone climate control, electronic parking brake, auto defog windscreen, smart cruise control, TPMS, etc. On the outside, this big MPV will come with LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 18″ alloy wheels, chrome accents, LED tail lamp, floating roof design, etc.
