QJ Group-owned Hungarian brand Keeway makes its debut in the Indian market. To cover a wide demographic of performance-oriented customers, the brand is launching three products in India. These products are – The K-Light 250V cruiser, Vieste 300 maxi-scooter and the SIXTIES 300i retro-classic scooter. Keeway says the models will be available for test rides at dealerships starting from the 26th of May. However, the deliveries will only begin in early June. Interested customers can visit the company’s official website and book a model by paying INR 10,000. Keeway will reveal the prices for the models soon.
The company will associate with Benelli India. This will help Keeway as it can take advantage of the 40+ dealer network in India. Keeway will bring all its current lineup to India as CKDs. Hence, another advantage is Benelli’s well-equipped assembly plant, which also meets Keeway’s growth ambitions. Keeway will also work closely with Benelli to bring eight products to India. The current offerings will be followed by another cruiser, two retro street motorcycles, a naked street and a race replica motorcycle.
The Keeway K-Light 250V is a rugged yet also a modern cruiser motorcycle. The K-Light 250V is also the first cruiser motorcycle in the 250cc segment to have a V-Twin engine coupled with a belt drive system. According to Keeway, these two combine to provide an excellent power to cruise over rough terrains with a hassle-free ownership experience.
The motorcycle uses a 249cc air-cooled V-Twin engine. It produces a peak power of 18.7 HP at 8500 rpm and 19 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The equipped transmission is a 5-speed unit. The cruiser bike also gets a 20-litre fuel tank. For additional safety, the bike gets dual-channel ABS as standard. The Keeway K-Light 250V cruiser is available in three matte colour options. The colour options are – Matte Black, Matte Blue and Matte Dark Grey.
