Icon Motorsport in collaboration with Kawasaki has designed a race concept motorcycle named the ZX3-RR.

Based on the Kawasaki Ninja 300, which is already quite track friendly, the ZX3-RR has been fine-tuned to enhance the experience of riders who want to get into professional racing. The ZX3-RR is built with the sole purpose of bringing affordable race spec motorcycle to young races. Icon Motorsports has done just that, bringing in the ZX3-RR race spec package which is entirely built in-house at Icon’s headquarters in Portland.

Most of the motorcycle frame has not been touched to keep the costs low. The motorcycle does get a reinforced swingarm and high-mount subframe for increased stability. What caught our eye was the custom fabricated body with its aerodynamically refined geometric cuts and the subtle paint scheme. The combination of both puts gives the motorcycle a serious track focused machine look. Listed below are some of the components used for building the ZX3-RR

  • Custom race fairing
  • Ohlins R&T suspension
  • ContiRaceAttack tyres
  • Custom reinforced swingarm
  • QuasiStinger Arrow under seat exhaust
  • Tablet dashboard, based on the Android OS
  • Front Dual petal discs
  • K&N Air filets

Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha have been promoting motorsports in India for a while now, we hope Kawasaki does the same and brings in the ZX3-RR. Till then check out the video…
