Kawasaki has been very aggressive in the Indian big bike market, since they debuted in our country. Now, their only cruiser motorcycle offering, the Vulcan S has been given an additional new paint job option. The 2018 Vulcan S cruiser from Kawasaki now comes in a orange paint scheme and has been priced at INR 5.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks it INR 10,000 more expensive than the standard black variant.
Powering the Kawasaki Vulcan S is a 650cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor producing 61 PS of power @ 7500 RPM and 63 Nm of torque @ 6600 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Vulcan S comes with ABS as standard and is sold across all Kawasaki showrooms in India. The bike features a conventional chain drive, gets alloy wheels, a pillion seat as standard, front and rear disc brakes along with a 14L fuel tank.
Kawasaki’s Vulcan S cruiser rivals the likes of Harley-Davidson Street 750.
The Vulcan S has seen a positive response from the Indian market with a decent number of motorcycles being pushed out of the showrooms easily. While this is a cruiser motorcycle built around a new chassis & other cycle parts, the Vulcan S shares the engine components with the sibling Ninja 650 & Z 650.
