Kawasaki has launched the new Z900 SE in the European market. The brand has announced that the Kawasaki Z900 SE will retail in the UK with a price tag of GBP 10,749 MSRP. The motorcycle will be available in the UK from December 2021. The brand also revealed that the Kawasaki Z900 SE would be available in only one colourway – Metallic Sparkle Black / Candy Lime Green.
The new Kawasaki Z900 SE comes with a new colour theme which features a Green painted belly and headlamp shrouds. The SE model also features gold-finish forks, easily distinguishing the Z900 SE from the standard Z900. Furthermore, the 2022 Kawasaki Z900 SE also features uprated suspension and brakes. The Z900 SE comes with Ohlins S46 rear suspension, stainless steel brake lines, Brembo M4.32 callipers and also features Brembo front brake discs.
Powering the Kawasaki Z900 SE is a 948cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled 16-valve DOHC fuel-injected engine produces 125 PS of power and 98.6 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed return type gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. Needless to say, the engine is Euro5 compliant.
The Kawasaki Z900 SE comes with a high-tensile steel trellis frame that rides on a 41 mm upside-down fork. The front suspension features compression and rebound damping as well as spring preload adjustability. The motorcycle on the rear comes with a horizontal back-link Ohlins S46 gas-charged shock with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. Stopping power comes from dual semi-floating 300 mm Brembo discs. The bike also comes with Brembo M4.32 monobloc, opposed to four-piston dual radial-mount callipers on the front and a single 250 mm petal disc with a single-piston calliper on the rear.
Kawasaki retails the Z900 in the Indian market with a sticker price of INR 8.42 lakh ex-showroom. The Z900 SE model is also likely to make it to the Indian market as the model is quite popular here in India.
