Kawasaki India has launched the Z H2 and Z H2 SE range of bikes in India. The 2024 Z H2 is priced from INR 23.48 lakh while the SE version will start from INR 27.76 lakh. All prices ex-showroom. Bookings for both these bikes are now open.
Both the Z H2 and the Z H2 SE get the same design. The main difference is that the SE variant gets improved hardware. The front gets an aggressive design with sharp headlamps, chunky fuel tank, split seats and a single sided exhaust. The bike rides on 17-inch alloys.
In terms of colour options the Z H2 gets the Metallic Carbon Grey with Ebony paint job while the Z H2 SE is offered with Graphenesteel Grey with Ebony colour. Customers can also configure their Z H2 SE with a green frame and engine cowl.
Braking hardware consists of dual 320 mm discs at the front and a single 260 mm rotor at the back. While the Z H2 gets a regular suspension, the SE comes with Showa Skyhook electronically adjustable suspension.
Both the bikes come with a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine. The engine gets a liquid cooled supercharger. In terms of numbers, the engine pushes out 197.2 BHP @ 11,000 rpm and 137 Nm @ 8,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
The Kawasaki Z H2 will take on the likes of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the BMW S1000R.
Kawasaki India has also launched the 2024 Ninja 650. The bike is priced at INR 7.16 lakh, ex-showroom. This is a modest hike in comparison to the 2023 version which came with a price tag of INR 7.14 lakh. The bike retains the 649cc parallel-twin engine. This liquid cooled engine develops 67.3 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque @ 6,700 rpm. The engine is now compliant with the latest Indian emission norms and is also compatible with E20 fuel.
