Kawasaki launches W175 Street motorcycle at India Bike Week

At the India Bike Week 2023, Kawasaki has introduced the new W175 Street. The new Kawasaki W175 Street motorcycle is the upgraded variant of the standard W175 which is the smallest displacement Kawasaki in the Indian market. The W175 is also the most affordable Kawasaki in India.

Kawasaki W175 Street – Price and Colours

Price for the Kawasaki W175 Street is set to INR 1.35 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to this, the brand is offering the motorcycle in two colour themes – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey. The brand also continues to retail the W175 in its standard form which is available in four colour options. In its standard form, the W175 starts with a price tag of INR 1.22 lakh ex-showroom and goes unto INR 1.31 lakh ex-showroom.

Kawasaki W175 Street – Key Changes

The Kawasaki W 175 Street features the same retro-classic design theme, borrowing elements from the elder W800. However, the Street version comes with distinguishing features such as new Alloy wheels and a more modern paint theme. Thanks to the alloy wheels the W175 Street will come with tubeless tyres.

The difference in equipment isn’t significant, however, the W175 Street sits lower than the standard. The W175 Street comes with 786.5mm of seat height and 152mm of ground clearance. To put things into perspective, the W175 comes with 790mm of seat height and 165mm of ground clearance. The kerb mass of the W175 Street is also 200 gm more than the standard.

In addition to this, the brake rotor on the front is now smaller at 245mm on the W175 Street. The standard bike gets a 270mm front disc brake. The fuel capacity also appears 100ml more than standard on Kawasaki official website.

Kawasaki W175 Street – Technical Specifications

Powering the W175 Street is an air-cooled, single-cylinder 177cc SOHC, 2 valve engine with fuel injection. The motor makes 13 PS of power and 13.2 Nm of torque. The bike comes with a 5-speed transmission.
