Kawasaki India launches 2021 Z650 for INR 6.04 lakh with green rims

Kawasaki has launched the new 2021 Model Year Z 650 in the Indian market at the starting price of INR 6.04 lakh ex-showroom, India. The new naked roadster receives changes only in the paint theme of the motorcycle and the Sugomi design concept along with the recently updated equipment have been carried forward. The 2021 Kawasaki Z 650 also comes with a BS6 updated powertrain that adheres to the stringent new emission standards. 

For 2021, the Kawasaki Z 650 comes with a new ‘Metallic Sparkle Black’ paint theme that features Black body parts with Green graphics, Green finished chassis and alloy wheels. The design of the motorcycle remains the same, it features a sharp new headlamp with angular headlamp shrouds, a small flyscreen, wide handlebars, short fenders, muscular tank with chiselled tank shrouds, a high mounted tail with split seats and a mid-ship style exhaust system. In terms of equipment, the Z 650 features LED headlamps, LED taillamps, 17-inch alloy wheels shod in new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres, all new digital TFT colour instrumentation, smartphone integration via “RIDEOLOGY THE APP” through Bluetooth technology. 

The 2021 Kawasaki Z 650 is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 8-valve DOHC engine with dual throttle valve fuel-injected engine that produces 68 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed return-type transmission. In terms of the mechanical parts, the Z 650 is offered with 41 mm telescopic fork on the front with 125mm of wheel travel, a preload-adjustable Horizontal Back-link with 130mm of travel, semi-floating 300 mm petal discs with dual-piston hydraulic callipers on the front and a single 220 mm petal disc with a single-piston calliper on the rear equipped with a dual-channel ABS system.

In the international market, Team Green has also launched the 2021 Kawasaki Z 650 in Pearl Blizzard White / Metallic Spark Black colour and the Metallic Spark Black / Metallic Flat Spark Black colour option. Kawasaki is expected to update the new colours sold in the international market to the Indian market as well.
