Kawasaki announces price hike from April 2021, prices revealed

Kawasaki will be revising the price list of the entire portfolio from April 2021. The brand has not mentioned the reason for the price hike but it is likely to be due to the rise in input costs and the change in currency exchange rates. The brand also announces that the new list will be effective from 1st April 2021 but for all bookings made on or before 31st March, the company will apply the current ex-showroom price. It is also important to note that the price hike does not affect the Kawasaki ZH2, ZH2SE, Kawasaki Ninja 300, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R as well as the KLX range.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Kawasaki recently made its debut the all-new Ninja ZX-10R in the Indian market at the price of INR 14.99 lakh ex-showroom. The MY2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R comes with two colour options – Lime green and Flat Ebony Type 2 and features an updated BS6 compliant powertrain, advanced aerodynamics and state-of-the-art electronics package. Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes helped develop the new Ninja ZX-10R and boffins at Team Green have been able to integrate aerostructures in the bodywork that offer 17% more downforce when compared to the predecessor.

Powering the Ninja ZX-10R is a liquid-cooled 998cc in-line four-cylinder 16-valve DOHC motor with electronic fuel injection producing 203 PS of power (213 PS with Ram-air). The engine comes with features such as Titanium intake and exhaust valves, Diamond-Like Carbon coated finger followers, lightweight Chromoly camshafts with a soft nitriding treatment, dry film lubricant on the piston skirts, larger coolant passages etc.

Kawasaki Ninja 300

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 launched with a price tag of INR 3.18 lakh ex-showroom and comes with new paint themes and a BS6 compliant engine. The motorcycle is now available in three colour options -Lime Green, Ebony and Candy Lime Green. Powering the Ninja 300 is a BS6 emission-compliant liquid-cooled 296cc four-stroke Parallel Twin Cylinder 8-valve DOHC engine with electronic fuel injection that produces 39 PS of power and 26.1 Nm of torque.
