WardWizard Innovations and Mobility is one of the emerging electric two-wheeler manufacturers in the country and sells its product under the ‘Joy e-bike’ brand name. The company has now announced that it has successfully received the student subsidy under the Gujarat Energy Development Agency program 2021-22. Hence, this program will enable 4 two-wheeler models of Joy e-bike to get a subsidy of INR 12,000 on the ex-showroom price.
This is in tune with the Gujarat state government’s push for electric vehicles. This scheme is applicable for students of class IX and above. One of the key USPs of these electric vehicles from Wardwizrd is that they do not require a driving license nor registration to ride. And hence, this will also create a buzz for electric vehicles among the youth.
Wardwizard mentioned that a total of four models would come under this subsidy plan. This includes the Gen Next, Wolf and Glob in the scooter segment, and Monster in the motorcycle segment.
This electric scooter is pretty similar to the other electric scooters in Wardwizard’s stable in terms of mechanicals. The scooter also gets a host of other features like alloys wheels, remote lock, battery level indicator, and more. The claimed mileage of the Gen Next Electric Scooter is around 60 km under a single charge. And the charging time is set at 2.5 to 3 hours.
This scooter gets a 60 V 23 AH Lithium-Ion battery, which has a claimed mileage of 60 km under a single charge. This aids the rider with a comfy ride. The scooter also gets telescopic suspension at the front and dual adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The charging time takes around 3 to 3.5 hours.
The Wolf shares a lot of similarities with the Glob in terms of mechanicals. But, one of the critical differences is the exterior profile. Wolf has a more aggressive exterior outlook when compared to the Glob, which will appeal to a lot of young riders.
This electric motorcycle gets a 1500 Watts, DC brushless Hub Motor powered by a 72 V 39AH Lithium-ion Fixed Type battery. The battery takes close to 5 to 5.5 hours to get fully charged. The claimed riding range is 100 km, thus making it perfect for daily commutes. Other highlighting features include front and rear disc brake, hydraulic suspension, mono rear suspension, and more.
