For September 2021, the sales figure stood at 2,500 units, which translates to a month-over-month growth of 14 per cent. The company recently doubled its capacity at its Vadodara plant. The company mentioned that they are fully prepared to take on this surge and serve the customers to their best.

Key Highlights

Joy e-bike recorded its highest ever sales for the month of October at 2,855 units. In an attempt to expand its network and attract more customers, the company added a new experience centre in Pune. Further, there are plans to add three more such experience centres in Maharashtra. For Q2 of FY22, the company sold more than 5,000 units of electric scooters and motorcycles. And this, when compared to the same period last year, stood at 664 units. This is a testimony to the rising demand for electric vehicles, especially in the two-wheeler segment.

In Other News

Joy e-bike currently has its presence in over 25 cities across the country. And the EV manufacturer is aggressively expanding its reach to new areas at a rapid pace. The future of EVs in the country do look quite promising, supported by both the Central Government and various State Governments. Joy e-bike, along with many other EV manufacturers, are working hard to leverage the demand and become a pioneer in this segment. One of the areas that need significant investment and resources is the charging infrastructure. Currently, the network of chargers is very slim, but as more EV companies join in, we expect the infrastructure network to become much more robust.
