Reigning MotoGP champion and Yamaha Movistar rider, Jorge Lorenzo has officially moved to Ducati for the 2017 and 2018 MotoGP season.
With a total of 5 championship wins in his hand, Jorge Lorenzo had been racing with Yamaha since he entered the sport. Winning all of his championships with Yamaha Movistar team it will be the first time that Lorenzo will be racing with a new team.
Ducati is performing very well in this season and with addition of a champion rider to their team, Ducati will surely enjoy some action on the track.
There could be multiple reasons behind this switch. Team pressure, change, rivalry with team mate, etc.
