Indian tyre industry major, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd has announced that the brand has associated itself with leading online marketplace – Amazon.in, to enable its customer’s avail doorstep delivery of JK Tyre’s entire premium range through Amazon’s nation-wide delivery network. The contactless purchase system will also enable customers to explore the range of JK Tyres from the safety and convenience of their home.
The association with Amazon commenced from 1st August 2020 and the online marketplace offers customers a selection of marquee products from JK Tyres for both passenger vehicles and two-wheelers. JK Tyre has also announced that the brand also participated in the Amazon Prime Day from 6th to 7th August and registered significant sales.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, most customers would also prefer to shop online rather than venturing out, as it is relatively safer to stay at home. The contactless system and Amazon’s safe delivery method along with digital payment option, the customer gets a seamless purchasing experience while simultaneously ensuring safety.
In the recent past, JK Tyre also launched India’s first-ever ‘Smart Tyre’ technology by introducing an integrated Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) offered by TREEL Sensors. Treel sensors monitor the tyre’s vital statistics, including pressure and temperature adding to the safety of the driver and other vehicle occupants.
The information collected by this smart monitoring system is relayed on a real-time basis to the vehicle owner’s smartphone via Bluetooth on to a mobile application, allowing earlier detection of issues that can be caused overheating, overinflation and under inflation, giving the user ample time to react and deploy preventive measures. Maintaining optimal tyre pressure not only provides greater safety on the road but also helps the environment.
TREEL Sensors are designed, developed and manufactured at the brand’s manufacturing facility in Pune and are already in use by fleet owners as part of a countrywide pilot. The Smart Tyre system is available for commercial vehicles, passenger cars as well as motorcycles.
