Jeep teases Meridian facelift, will arrive with ADAS

Jeep India has officially teased the upcoming facelift of its SUV, the Meridian. The refreshed model is set to arrive with significant updates, including the much-anticipated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This move aligns with Jeep’s strategy to enhance safety and technology features across its lineup, catering to the evolving demands of the Indian market.

Design and Exterior Updates

The 2025 Jeep Meridian facelift will feature subtle yet impactful design changes. The front fascia is expected to sport a redesigned grille with a honeycomb mesh pattern and chrome-studded accents, giving it a more refined look. Additionally, the SUV will receive updated headlamps and revised front and rear bumpers. New alloy wheel designs for the 18-inchers are also anticipated, adding to the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.

Interior and Technology Enhancements

Inside, the Meridian facelift will boast a refreshed interior with new trims and upholstery. The dashboard will feature a grey finish, replacing the outgoing model’s beige theme, and the chrome strip will be swapped for a more contemporary copper finish. The SUV will continue to offer a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with a 9-speaker Alpine audio setup.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

One of the standout features of the new Meridian will be the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS. This advanced suite of safety technologies will include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. These features are designed to enhance driver safety and convenience, making the Meridian a more competitive offering in its segment.

Additional Features

The 2025 Meridian will also come equipped with over 30 connected and remote-accessible functions via the Uconnect app. These include remote vehicle monitoring, engine start, pre-arrival air-conditioning, geo-fencing, and Alexa home control. Other notable features include wireless phone charging, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, and front parking sensors.

Market Positioning and Availability

Jeep has opened bookings for the facelifted Meridian, with the SUV available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations. The starting price for the outgoing model is INR 31.23 lakh, and it remains to be seen how the updated version will be positioned in the market. The Meridian facelift is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, offering both 4×2 and 4×4 variants.
