Jeep has unveiled the Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41, a special edition plug-in hybrid SUV inspired by the iconic 1941 Willys Jeep/MB. The new model was revealed at the LA Auto Show and is set to honor Jeep’s storied military heritage while offering modern performance and technology.
The Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41 features a military olive drab-inspired exterior paint and Drab Blue hood-side decals, paying homage to the original Willys MB. The SUV is equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires, replicating the steel wheels of the original. The design also includes metal bumpers for added off-road protection and unique bonnet graphics.
Inside, the Willys 41 edition boasts tan Heritage cloth seats, olive drab fabric dashboard inserts, and “41” badges on the gear selectors. The SUV offers three roof choices: a body-color hard top, a power-folding Sky One-Touch powertop, and an exclusive tan soft top.
Mechanically, the Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41 retains the same 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system as the standard Wrangler 4Xe. The hybrid powertrain delivers a total of 375 bhp and 637 Nm of torque, with an EV-only range of 50 km. The SUV also features a rear locker and front and rear steel bumpers for enhanced off-road capability.
The Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41 is expected to appeal to Jeep enthusiasts and adventure seekers who appreciate the blend of historical design and modern technology. Orders for the special edition are now open, with deliveries anticipated before the end of the year. The U.S. MSRP for the Willys 41 is set at $59,930.
Bob Broderdorf, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, stated, “Eight decades after cementing a reputation for all-terrain capability, straightforward design, and tough versatility, the spirit of the original Willys MB lives on in everything we do at Jeep brand. The new 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41 is a testament to that heritage.”
Would’nt it be great if they bought it to India too?
