Jeep is adding another variant to its line-up. The brand now offers the Jeep Compass S(O2) variant which includes updates to the infotainment system. Reports suggest that the S variant of the Compass will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. According to sources, the 2021 Jeep Compass Model S (O2) will start with a price tag of INR 24.84 lakh for the 2.0D MT model, INR 28.64 lakh for the 2.0D MT 4X4 model and INR 25.64 lakh for the 1.4Mair DDCT model.
Jeep Compass Model S (O2) – New Features
The Jeep Compass Models S(O2) variant comes with a fifth-generation 10.1-inch infotainment system. The new infotainment system comes with in-built navigation and Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. The infotainment system also integrates voice commands for hands-free operation of the navigation, radio, media, phone and also climate control. The new infotainment system comes with a faster more powerful 40 K MIPS chipset and 6 GB ram. But the piece de resistance is the intelligent ventilated driver seat that automatically turns on if the ambient temperature climbs above 26.5-degrees Celsius inside the cabin.
Jeep Compass Model S (O2) – Engine Specifications
Powering the Jeep Compass S (O2) is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The oil motor comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with either a two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive option. Optionally, the Jeep Compass is also available in the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 158 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Jeep unveiled the new 7-seater Commander in the Latin American market which will come to India with the ‘Meridian’ name. Jeep will position the Meridian above the Compass brand and comes with a new design on the front and rear fascia. The Jeep Commander will draw its design inspiration from the Grand Cherokee and come with three rows. The interiors on the Meridian are similar to the Jeep Compass but features some differentiating factors.
