Jawa and Yezdi Motorcycles took their bikes to the track for the first time ever at Chicane Circuit, Hyderabad. The ‘Street Rush’ event is an initiative contucted Jawa Yezdi motorcycles in order to provide Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle owners with a platform to upgrade their riding skills and unleash the true potential of the motorcycles they own. At the very first event, over 150 interested participants and 85 riders of the Jawa Yezdi motorcycles showed up and made the ‘Street Rush’ event a success. The event was held at Chicane Circuit, Hyderabad and the entry fee started from INR 499.
Three-time international and eight-time national off-road and rally champion Rustom Patel had led the event and flagged it off with an intensive training session. The participants got a chance to get an insight into riding techniques, enhance motorcycle control, acceleration, throttle control, cornering, turn-in, weight balance and effective braking. Hour-long sessions were also organized in order to share more knowledge for the final test of skills.
Post training sessions, the riders got a chance to finally step into the track with their motorcycles and compete against time and each other. Safety is always a priority, hence, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles urged participants to wear proper riding gear while training and competing. This included helmets, protective jackets/pants, knee guards, gloves and riding boots. The event held in Hyderabad served as a gateway for riders to know more about the world of track riding and get a chance to meet like-minded people and bike enthusiasts.
The riders who secured top positions as winners received Jawa Yezdi riding jackets, helmets and trophies to celebrate. Mohd. Abdul Shoeb was on a Yezdi Scrambler followed by Sai Saagar Patangay on a Yezdi Roadster and lastly, Manoj Kumar on a Yezdi Motorcycle as well. Looking at the beaming enthusiasm of riders and participants, Jawa Yezdi, presently, plans on transforming ‘Street Rush’ into a National Championship and officially adding more cities & rounds to its calendar and encouraging riders to participate.
