Seems like the work behind the scenes on Jawa Motorcycles for India is on track. Anand Mahindra has recently tweeted saying that launch of the new Jawa Motorcycles is imminent. Classic Legends Private Limited (CLPL) which is a subsidiary of Mahindra owns Jawa & BSA motorcycle brands.
Mahindra had earlier shared a timeline that the first Jawa motorcycle would be launched by March 2019. Jawa will be introducing premium motorcycles and will most probably use the 300cc engine which Mahindra has developed for the Mojo. Mahindra is also likely to open dedicated Jawa dealerships for a good sales experience.
Earlier this year, Jawa revealed the 2018 Jawa 350 Special cafe racer motorcycle for Europe. This bike is powered by a 397cc, single-cylinder, FI engine producing 27 BHP of power and 30 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
It is unclear for now exactly which motorcycle will be launched in India. No motorcycle has also been spotted testing yet.
