Jaguar Land Rover’s specialist team, Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) dedicated to amplifying performance and luxury in Jaguar cars have revealed the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR features exterior changes, new technology on the interiors, more performance as well as improved aerodynamics. The brand has also installed uprated brakes to handle the powerful engine and tuned the suspension as well as the steering system.
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is exclusively powered by a 5.0-litre longitudinally-mounted V-8-Cylinder Supercharged petrol engine that produces 550 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new emission-compliant powertrain delivers 20 Nm more than the outgoing model and capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, which claims to be three-tenths of a second faster than the predecessor. The top speed has also increased to 286 km/h which is 5.1 kmph faster than before. The brand has also employed the same torque converter unit from the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 to handle the increased loads. Also, the carbon-dioxide emissions have been reduced from 281 g/km to 275 g/km. The fuel economy is also up to 12.2 l/100 km. (EU-WLTP Combined)
Jaguar has also tweaked the transmission with a unique Dynamic Mode tuning. The brand F-Pace SVR also gets a new Dynamic Launch feature which uses the driveline inertia to maintain power on the wheels during gear changes, decreasing flat spots in acceleration and providing a sharper acceleration from a standstill. The steering system is also tuned and features the new electronic power-assistance system that boasts to provide a heightened connection between the vehicle and the driver. The chassis bushings have also been upgraded and the adaptive damping has been further modified and tuned to provide a comfortable ride at low speeds. The brakes have been updated with 395mm front and 396mm rear two-piece discs with a new Integrated Power Booster and a recalibrated system that delivers a sportier and shorter brake pedal. The braking system also benefits from improved cooling and aerodynamics features, improving the performance and driver’s confidence.
On the exterior, the F-Pace SVR features motorsport-inspired exteriors with new vents and apertures to cool the powertrain and braking components, superior aerodynamic performance with 35 % reduction in aerodynamic lift, aerodynamic co-efficient of drag reduced from 0.37 Cd to 0.36 Cd, optimised bonnet extractors, side vents, wheel arch spats, a new rear diffuser, SVR specific spoiler and a unique rear valance.
On the inside, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR features Alcantara-finished seats and door inserts, Windsor leather-wrapped midroll, 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display with Alcantara leather, aluminium patterned finishers, carbon-fibre weave finish as an option, embossed SVR logo on the headrests, slimline semi-aniline sports seats wrapped in leather with a heritage logo-inspired diamond embroidery as an option, a new performance-focused Drive Selector, tactile zinc-alloy shift paddles, new SVR split-rim steering wheel and new 11.4-inch intuitive Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with Software-Over-Air capability, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Active Road Noise Cancellation.
The brand has not yet announced the price of the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR, but the performance-packed SUV is expected to make it to Indian streets early next year.
