Customers waiting to experience iVoomi Energy’s S1 can now get their hands on the scooter. The company announced that the test rides for S1 will start on 28 May 2022. In the first phase, iVOOMi S1 is rolling out test rides at its dealerships in Pune, Nagpur, Gondia, Mumbai, Nanded, Kolhapur Ichalkaranji, Ahmednagar, Surat, Bhavnagar, Adipur, and Kachh, followed by all other dealerships pan India by 05 June. As per plans, iVOOMi Energy will extend the S1 test ride for at least three weeks. More cities will follow this in the coming week.
To further attract more participation for test rides, the company organised a lucky draw for those who take a test ride. iVoomi has been selling in good numbers. Riding on the current demand for EVs in the market, a host of EV makers also posted positive sales growth. The story is pretty similar for iVoomi as well. In the last two years, customers have driven 5 million green kilometres so far.
iVoomi confirmed that the vehicles will arrive across multiple touchpoints in these cities to ensure that the maximum number of people get to experience the S1. Customers can express their interest by booking their test-ride slots by visiting the iVOOMi Energy website. Furthermore, customers have the option to pre-book the e-scooter post-test ride at INR 749. Deliveries will start in early June, and iVoomi has promised on-time delivery.
Technical Specifications
S1 gets a 2kW electric motor that offers a top speed of 50-54 kmph. The battery pack is a 60V, 2kWh swappable Li-ion unit. The claimed mileage is 100 km on a full charge. And the charging time is around 3 to 4 hours. The price for this model is set at INR 84,999. S1 also uses the unique battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model. This makes owning the S1 even more cost-effective and convenient for customers as compared to conventional scooters.
