Isuzu Motors will setup a new 107 acre truck manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.
The company has selected the manufacturing base to be located at Sri City SEZ, in Rayalaseema region. The company currently has 10 truck manufacturing facilities around the world, and this upcoming unit in India is expected to serve as an export hub to distribute pick-up trucks and other passenger utility vehicles to emerging markets.
Isuzu will invest around Rs. 3,000 crore for this facility and will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 units for the domestic markets. Once the facility starts operating at full steam, at about 1,20,000 units annually, Isuzu will begins exports to other markets.
